Welcome to Dorset

Blandford is a beautiful Georgian market town in the heart of the County and between the Cranborne Chase and Blackmore Vale. The surrounding countryside is dotted with historic hill forts, giving it that quintessential rolling English countryside, rich in wildlife and diversity. The town was completely rebuilt following a devastating fire in the Georgian style, giving it a unique, planned style. The large market square is home to a weekly farmers market and various events throughout the year, including the famous Georgian Fayre. The Great Dorset Steam Fair is held at Tarrant Gunville and is the world’s largest steam fair.
