Excellent. Everything was thought of and it was beautifully decorated. We had a really lovely time and can’t wait to visit again!
Claire Steer - April, 2022 10/05/2022
Firstly we have previously stayed at this property, this year we thought that the property was significantly cleaner. This may be due to the time of the year and not been so busy? The property is spacious and comfortable even for a family of 5. The property has everything you need, furnishings are all of a good standard.
Leanne Garbula - April, 2022 29/04/2022
The cottage is in an ideal location for sightseeing and bus routes. Good standard of kitchen equipment. Safe car parking.
Pete Baggaley - October, 2021 26/10/2021
Well equipped kitchen. Very clean. Easy parking. Wonderful en suite shower. Lovely patio area.
Felicity McGill - September, 2021 20/09/2021
Lovely accommodation.
Julie Folkes - July, 2021 05/08/2021
Very pleasant house. Nicely decorated inside with a seaside theme. Nice little courtyard area for sitting/eating outside. Despite being fairly close to a main road, the traffic noise was hardly noticeable. Beds were quite comfortable - neither too soft nor too hard. The location was surprisingly good. It's a relatively short walk (15-20 mins) downhill from the house to the beach at Swanage - although it may prove a bit too much if you are carrying a lot of beach gear. Likewise, it's a relatively short distance to the main shops at Swanage - but there are also a few smaller shops which are very close by. We were very surprised to see how easy it is to access the South West Coastal Path from the house - it's about a 15 minute walk southwards from the house (although fairly steep uphill) past the Caravan Park to the SWCP and from there you can walk, with magnificent views, either toward Durlston (eastwards) or St Aldhelm's Head (westwards). We kept to a path slightly higher than, and parallel to, the SWCP which didn't involve any steep descents. Priest's Way is also readily accessible from the house - with a nice walk to Worth Matravers and the Square and Compass pub.
Debbie Lucas - June 2021 15/07/2021
Brilliant, clean, well provisioned and very central to the seafront and town.
Peter Bayes - June 2021 15/07/2021

Jean Westcott - June 2021 06/07/2021
Well kept and ideal place to stay.

This is the third time we have visited Pebbles so obviously like the accommodation. There is only 2 of us so we rattle around a bit in a 3 bed property. The courtyard is a sun trap on sunny days and nice to relax without being overlooked. Just wish the dirty people would have cleaned the BBQ after their use. Safe place to leave the car to wander around. Not far to the beach. Love Swanage cant wait to come back in September. Thanks to all DCH staff, very nice people . Easy to talk to and quick responses.
Colin Taylor - May 2021 22/06/2021
The accommodation was perfect, had everything you needed. Good size rooms, good furnishings. Nice outside garden space

We had a lovely week in Pebbles. Most enjoyable. This is our second time in Pebbles and it was as enjoyable the second time.
Cleanliness is always important to us.
There's still lots we haven't done so we will probably be back next year.
See if you can find the scary pebble we added in the bowl!!
Only one gripe the beer and food is a lot more expensive in Dorset compared to the West Midlands.
Happy Hour in East Bar is good.
Pirate weekend good but only saw Friday.

Pebbles was one of the best holiday homes we have ever stayed in. It was so clean and so well equipped. The owners appear to have thought of everything! The house was a 10/15 minute walk to the beach and the house was in a good location for shops and access to main routes. We loved spending Christmas here and will definitely be booking again! The only addition we felt the property could have was a stair gate. A brilliant cottage- thank you. Dorset cottage holidays as a holiday company are brilliant. Very attentive to any questions and the visit from Father Christmas on Christmas Eve and the presents he bought my two children was fab! Amazing service- highly recommend.
Katie Harker 02/01/2019
Our second stay and once again thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Pebbles has a very homely feel and you could forget you are actually on holiday. Easy walking distance to Swanage and for travelling elsewhere. The cottage has all you need the only slight problem was when the washing machine was found to be broken but not a major problem. Have already booked again for late October and look forward to that. A big thank you to the housekeeper as well who was friendly and helpful during our stay. Would definitely recommend it to others.

Response: Thank you for your review, the washing machine has now been repaired. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.
Pat Wood 25/08/2018
Lovely house equipped with everything we needed. Well maintained and spotlessly clean. The patio garden was a bonus being very private.
Sue M 03/08/2018
Our 2nd stay at Pebbles and it was like coming home. If we came to live in Swanage that isa property we would like to live in!
A bit of an issue with TV my husband said-poor reception on a few channels. I can live with that being on holiday.
We added a small milk jug which we missed having. Otherwise very well equipped. Thank you.
Mrs J Burgess 14/06/2018
Pebbles provided the perfect base for our Dorset holiday. It included everything we needed, a lovely courtyard garden, comfy beds and plenty of room for our family of 4. It was a 10 minute walk to the sandy beach too.

It is well positioned with local shops nearby (including a very well stocked CostCutter) and for those happy with hills, it is a walkable distance from Swanage town centre and places to eat. A lovely cottage very well equipped. It was very quiet and private dispite being near a busy road. Dorset Country Cottages looked after the cottage very welland thanks for your prompt attention when I reported the problem over the hot water. Also the wine and biscuits and milk was a nice touch.
Jill Burgess 17/06/2017
We spent a wonderful week at The Pebbles and it was one of the most comfortable houses we have stayed in. It was beautifully clean and so well equipped with everything you would want. The king sized bed so comfy and the bed linen and towels top quality too. Great you can park your car safely outside. All in all a perfect place to stay and can thoroughly recommend it. We will be back.

Beautifully presented and with all the comfort and facilities that you could wish for. The utilities of dishwasher, washer and tumble were great and the very high speed unlimited internet a terrific bonus. Private courtyard also great for safe play with kids. Thank you!
Chris Eastwood 10/08/2016
The cottage was perfect for us. The location is perhaps 20 - 30 minutes walk to the beach down a fairly steep hill but we were using it as a base for driving around Dorset and it was fine for that. It's comparatively expensive but you do get what you pay for, all the rooms were lovely and spacious.

It was absolutely pristine, and I have pretty high standards around cleanliness! There were also some lovely welcoming surprises: local info, wine, biscuits, and I think even some tea and coffee (I don't drink these so can't quite remember).

Lastly; it was fantastically well equipped with dishwasher, washer, dryer, fridge/freezer, crockery, and cutlery but more importantly all the essentials that are a pain to take with you to self catering places. Leave these at home as they're provided: towels, tea towels, dishwasher tablets, bin bags, washing up liquid and sponge, hand soap, loo rolls, tissues, cling film, 1 high chair, a few games, and even kids plastic cups, plates, and bowls!
Liz 16/07/2016
Lovely house nicely presented in pleasant location. Wine etc a nice touch on arrival. Would of just been nice to have a TV in the kitchen. DCH were good to book through with good directions to the house. Would recommend the house and DCH to others.
