Mackerel Fishing in Lyme Regis
Harry May’s name is synonymous with Lyme Regis mackerel fishing and Lyme Regis deep sea fishing trips. Marie F and Sunbeam — his two custom built fishing boats — regularly set out from the end of the harbour with up to ten passengers each in search of mackerel or more exotic fish. Harry promises a safe journey, hours of fun and the excitement of the catch. He will even gut or fillet your fish for you so it’s ready to cook. All the equipment is provided plus tuition if needed. Harry has always lived in Lyme Regis and his beautiful house overlooks the harbour from where he can keep a watchful eye on his two boats.

Rockbourne Trout Fishery
Rockbourne Trout Fishery is located in the New Forest just on the edge of the picturesque village of Rockbourne. The six lakes are spread over 55 acres of unspoilt woodland and pasture land with the river Sweatford Waters running through the valley and on into the Avon. The lower reaches of the river are classed as an area of outstanding natural beauty and indeed Rockbourne is one of the most peaceful, secluded and beautiful spots to fly fish in the country.
Flowers Farm Lakes.
The lakes at Flowers Farm are situated in attractive natural environment with views overlooking the Blackmore Vale. The fishery comprises five lakes fed by clear spring waters from Batcombe Downs and the lakes are stocked with high-quality Brown and Rainbow trout.
The Wrackelford Estate Fishing
Fly Fishing. The River Frome is the most western of the famous English chalkstreams, with the Estate waters sitting on the finest stretches of the river just north of Dorchester in the historic county of Dorset. The Frome rises in the chalk downs of west Dorset, maturing into a fine trout river by the time it reaches Wrackleford. It is fed by a number of gin clear tributaries along its course, before flowing into.
Whitemoor Lake Fishing
A beautiful setting where you can fish for Roach, Tench, Carp, Bream, Chub, Rudd & Gudgeon. Day tickets are available. Open from Oct – March. Crucian Carp, Perch.
Crooked Willow Fishing
This small fishery is quite popular with anglers fishing on day tickets as well as members, there are the usual species with good sized Crucians, Tench and Carp in double figures ect. Fishing the lily pads can be very productive.

Poole Harbour
Poole homes the worlds second largest natural harbour. This allows for some fantastic fishing locations. The bass, mullet and flounder fishing is some of the best anywhere. The area also allows a tremendous variety of fishing. Studland is a beautiful stretch of beach,owned by the National Trust, with the iconic Old Harrys Rocks to the West and the mouth of Poole Harbour to the East. All in all this is an excellent place to come fishing, and is where I have caught several of my personal best fish.

Todber Manor Fisheries
Todber Manor Fisheries is set in the heart of the Dorset countryside and is the home of some of the finest carp and coarse fishing in the South West. On-site there are 7 lakes including 3 specimen carp lakes, a runs water and 3 match/pleasure fishing lakes. The lakes are well known for there carp fishing but they also provide one of the few places in Dorset to catch a Catfish. The on-site tackle shop is one of the biggest in the U.K and stocks all major brands.
Located on the stunning Jurassic coastline, the views stretch across Lyme Bay and along the Chesil Beach to Portland. The 6213 yard, cliff top links style golf course, is a challenging but fair test for all levels of golfer. The course abounds with wildlife and the singing of a skylark is a regular sound to be heard. The signature hole, the 6th, is only 133 yards long but has a drop of over 90 feet, rating in the top 100 holes in the world.
Members are now able to relax with a refreshing drink either in the lounge bar or on the patio as they watch fellow golfers complete their round. Parley Golf Centre was established in 1991 as a Golf Driving Range offering first class practice facilities and highly professional golf tuition. The 9 Hole Course was added in 1993. The Golf Driving Range offers 27 covered bays for improving your skills and 5 experienced PGA Professionals for individual and group lessons. The Range is floodlit for night time practice allowing extended opening hours. The 9 Hole Golf Course operates on a Membership as well as a Pay and Play basis with no tee-time reservations and provides a challenge for all levels of Golfers. Sherborne Golf Club
Visitors are welcome everyday apart from Thursday mornings. Twilight golf from £20. For those who wish to hone their game, there is an extensive Golf Academy with chipping, pitching and bunker practice greens, as well as a driving range. With extensive views to Somerset and beyond the Club House is open from (8am to 9pm). Lyme Regis Golf Club
Lyme Regis Golf Club was founded in 1893 and is recognised as one of the finest golf courses in the South West. The course occupies a cliff top site with coastal views towards Portland Bill and overlooks the historic town and World Heritage Site of Lyme Regis. Although on a cliff top plateau the course itself is not actually hilly and golfers can enjoy an exhilarating round of golf with some magnificent views.
Isle of Purbeck Golf Club
The courses are built on heathland and are set within a nature reserve where many rare plants can be seen as well as rare birds. The restaurant has a well deserved reputation for excellent fare and very good value. All levels and ages are welcome, whether you want to build a program to suit your ambitions or simply work on eliminating that slice. The beginner is catered for on the 9 hole Dene course and the Purbeck Championship course proves an exciting test for even the most accomplished golfer.
