Introduction & General Information:

Stonechat Cottage is a Grade II listed 18th Century limestone cottage, has been looked after well and completely renovated in 2022 for holiday accommodation.

It is a strictly non-smoking cottage with solid floor coverings downstairs (wooden floors in the living room, and stone tiles in the kitchen, with a tiled bathroom) and full carpeting to upstairs only.

It is located near Swanage in the centre of Worth Matravers village, has a very small courtyard area, and is just down the road from a lovely duck pond and green space. It has several walks straight out of the door such as Winspit, Seacombe Cliff, Dancing Ledge and St Aldhelm’s Head, as well as the well known Square and Compass pub 200 yards away, or the local shop. Nearby towns are Wareham, Lulworth, Swanage, and Studland.

There is a small local shop and Post Office in Langton Matravers, there is a Co-op and a Budgens supermarket in Swanage.

It’s a 10 minute drive from Swanage Train Station, just under 4 miles away, and the nearest bus stop is 2 miles away.

Property allows 2 dogs at £25 each, and owner has a dog that visits.


Arrival & Parking: Parking on the left, first come first serve, or Square and Compass pub car park.
