As a base in the village Lulwind is ideal, an extremely central, well equipped, warm, clean, pretty thatched cottage for a family or small group (we were 4 adults, a toddler and a dog).
For exploring toddlers, the property would benefit from some covers on unused mains sockets though.
Would love to visit again.
Weather was good, cottage was very comfortable & location was great.
Kitchen fine ...with all necessary bits for holiday cooking. Comfortable seating area at back and front. Parking easy across the road in centre, as long as you don't come back during the afternoon.
Best part of all is the location....3-5 mins from Cove itself. Great walk over the Hill to Man O 'War and Durdle door.
Easy access to the remarkable Fossil Forest.
Had everything you needed, very much enjoyed by 3 generations and our dog. Thank you!
We enjoyed the location with the stunning coast and pubs, restraunts and cafe's on your door step.
The 2 parking permits provided are essential and the car park is close by so that was very convenient.
I would add a word of warning. If trying to be quick when unloading on arrival or departure you have to park on the double yellow lines outside the cottage and climb a small grass bank and up a couple of steps to access the cottage. This was not a problem and almost part of the charm of the cottages elevated position and location. However this process would not be suitable for anyone with mobility problems.
Thankyou.
Thanks
The only minor negatives was the duvet cover and pillows were thick and rough cotton. Too hot on bed. Front garden hedge could have been lower so that you could look out to your left. Cottage was a good size, and furniture was comfortable. Another thing to note was phone rang a fair few times with cold callers. Which was slightly irritating.
Would certainly want to book this cottage again as light, airy, homely and extremely comfortable. Thank you
I must say that I feel rather pleased with myself for finding the cottage out of all websites etc . Many thanks again , Anne, Paul ,Sarah , Lee, baby Keaton and Bob the dog.
We were a party of two couples and all were delighted with the amenities.
Extra touches like, tea coffee, milk (and biscuits!) all waiting for us on arrival, even a vase of flowers on the table made it feel so welcoming.
Large spacious living/dining area. Extremely well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, two showers, and large fluffy towels.
Would I return? I could happily live there!
The Cove Inn does good food and beer and is only a few houses away. The cottage is well appointed and the log burner works well.
We've stayed twice and will probably return.
Our two year old is already settled in and there are some lovely homely touches. really impressed.
Overlooking the rolling hills at Lulworth and within a stones throw from the cove itself.
We didnt want to leave
