Luxury means different things to different people, what would your luxury holiday in Dorset consist of?
Escape to the peace and tranquility of Dorset with a stay at one of our specially selected luxury holiday properties. Our collection of luxury 4 and 5 star cottages include stunning seaside apartments, traditional Purbeck Cottages and magnificent Dorset Villa’s finished to the highest standard.
Some of you might yearn for that quintessentially quaint, rose-covered thatched cottage in the heart of our beautiful Dorset countryside, whilst others aspire to a chic seaside apartment in the hubbub of a busy seaside resort. We highly recommend Lavender Cottage (pictured), it was recently graded with 4 stars by Visit Britain, the independent assessors. Not only does this cottage offer 4 star luxury, it is located in the beautiful village of Osmington, a short stroll from Dorset’s Jurassic coast.
My idea of luxury is a lovely large bed, beautiful view, a large landscaped garden for the little ones and a show stopping conservatory to enjoy my breakfast. But it has to cater for my four legged friend, a luxury dog friendly cottage in Dorset will suit me just fine and a beautiful pet friendly garden is a must. Picture walking from your holiday home door through bluebell woodlands down to the coast with your best friend. Church Cottage pictured is a rare gem on the Dorset coast, which welcomes your four legged friend.
Top your luxury accommodation with some fine dining. Rick Stein has recently opened a luxury restaurant at Sandbacks, specialising in seafood and within 20 minutes of most of our holiday cottages. Stock Hill Country House in Gillingham offers fine dining with the age old charm of a welcoming concierge, who will steer you through a lovely 7 course meal. I would also happily recommend the Greyhound in Winterbourne Kingston, a beautifully decorated upmarket pub with delightful gardens, friendly staff and excellent quality fayre, i particularly liked the tasteful decoration and music in the gardens.
Spoil that special someone – We are able to recommend a local beauty technician, who will visit you in your holiday home and offers a wide range of luxury spa treatments including massage, manicures and facials.
So what can you expect from a luxury cottage? Most of our luxurious holiday cottages will welcome you with a Dorset foodie hamper full of the finest local fayre. The cottages will be furnished with excellent quality solid wood contemporary or antique furniture; the paintwork will most likely be Farrow and Ball and the carpets will be thick with a generous underlay. Sink into your holiday home beds as they will be made up with crisp fresh linen, dressed by our expert housekeeping team.
