Jane Fassom - September, 2021 20/09/2021
This is my third stay at Rosemount. The accommodation is perfect: two lovely bedrooms, two bathrooms, large very well equipped kitchen, beautiful sitting room with doors on to the gorgeous garden. Easy parking and very peaceful.
Janice Creagh - August, 2021 02/09/2021
Excellent. A beautiful house where we always feel at home and made welcome.
John B - July, 2021 09/08/2021
Spacious and clean. Very good white goods essential for a 2 week stay. Well equipped kitchen. Welcoming and approachable owner living next-door. Pretty front and rear gardens.
Mrs Susan Guyon - June 2021 15/07/2021
Glass House is ideally located about a half mile from Corfe Castle itself. The bungalow is very clean and comfortable to live in and from the lounge has nice views of the Purbeck Hills/Ridge in the distance. Weather permitting, we enjoyed afternoon tea on the patio overlooking the garden. We did “meet” Tessa, the owner, several times during the week. Each time was a pleasure in itself though as other reviewers have said before, Tessa does not intrude on your stay at all. Needless to say, we had a lovely week and enjoyed our stay very much indeed. The part of Dorset is a “hidden gem!” Finally, our thanks to Tessa. It was lovely to meet you and thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home and this part of Dorset.
Alan Naylor May 2021 22/06/2021
A nice comfortable bungalow in a great location, easy to get to Swanage, Poole, Bournemouth and Weymouth.
The owner lives next door and is there if needed but not intrusive. Nice welcome pack on arrival.
John Bethel 21/09/2019
Wonderful, as ever. Yet another great holiday at the Isle of Purbeck. Rosemount is a beautiful property and suits us perfectly for our return visits to our favourite U.K. Holiday destination.
John & Elaine 08/08/2019
We love returning to Rosemount (this has been our seventh visit) as it is well furnished and equipped, clean and spotless, with a lovely garden but within easy reach of local amenities. Tessa is helpful and interesting, unobtrusive but friendly. We're already looking forward to our eighth visit!
Chris & Valerie Reed 03/07/2019
A delightful, spacious cottage with lovely views and within comfortable walking distance of the centre of Corfe Castle where there is a well stocked local shop and an excellent bakery. It is in a wonderful position to walk all over the Purbecks sometimes even from the cottage without having to take a car. The owner is nearby and very friendly and helpful.
Susan 16/05/2019
Very well equipped - a real home rather than a characterless holiday let. The gardens were beautiful and the views spectacular. A quiet location yet within walking distance to all amenities. We will return.
Catherine Stockdale 30/04/2019
It goes without saying that Corfe Castle and the Swanage area are perfect settings for a holiday and the wonderful weather allowed us to explore their delights. Rosemount itself is by far the best holiday home we have experienced. It is very much a 'home from home', completely equipped, spotless, beautiful garden and allowed us to spend extended time as a family, which was the real point of the holiday. Rosemount easily accommodated six adults and a baby. Tessa herself was a real 'find': unobtrusive, but also friendly and interesting to talk to and helpful. She gave the impression that she enjoyed having us there. Meals eaten and enjoyed sat around the splendid kitchen table will be an abiding memory. The kitchen became a focus and we ate out only once, chiefly because we had packed up and tidied with the intention of an early start to our return journey. None of us wanted to return home: always a good sign. We would very much like to return to Rosemount.
Bridget and John Bailey 17/08/2018
A delightful and comfortable bungalow furnished with all we could need and with an abundance of local information provided by Tessa. A convenient location for everything the area has to offer. This has been our sixth visit which says it all!
Chris and Valerie Reed 13/07/2018
13/7/2018 to 27/7/2018.
Our 5th visit to Rosemount and once again we have had a wonderful holiday, the bungalow, its surroundings, garden and views are idyllic. It goes without saying, the weather was amazing.
" Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines" .................." But thy eternal summer shall not fade"
Out thanks to Tessa for her kind hospitality.
John, Elaine and Hazel 13/07/2018
We enjoyed our stay in Rosemount very much it was just what 4 young 70 year olds were looking for. Weather was great and we spent pleasant evenings in garden drinking wine and watching the birds.
The cottage was tastefully furnished and Tessa, the owner was lovely and very helpful. The walk to the shops in the morning for fresh croissants was very relaxing. Restaurants in Corfe were also very good.
Alan Perry 29/06/2018
A lovely cottage. delightful owner next door was so
helpful . everything there that we needed . good location
for touring Dorset.
Iris Fidlin 14/06/2018
Our second visit to Corfe Castle, but first stay in this cottage. We all had a great time, despite some small setbacks!
The owner could not have been more polite and accommodating!
The cottage was a perfect size, very clean, and well organised. Of course the location cannot be beat, as it is close to the centre of the village and many of the local footpaths. This past week flew by and I think we are all sad to be leaving. Hopefully we'll be back soon! Thank you Tessa for being a wonderful host.
Warren Shirley 12/06/2018
Beautiful bungalow.Clean, everything you could need. Large comfortable rooms. Glorious views from the lounge across beautiful garden. Owner very friendly, helpful and welcoming.
Shirley 07/06/2018
Thank you so much for a really lovely week in beautiful Dorset. The cottage is such a delight, it is very charming, tasteful and light and spacious. As well, the garden is stunning- with gorgeous views!
We have felt very comfortable and happy here and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday
Powell 28/05/2018
We had a wonderful week in Rosemount. It is light and airy, has lovely views and a delightful garden. We enjoyed the owner's artistic touches throughout and the fact that it feels like a home, which indeed it is. We found it well placed for walking in the Purbecks, going on the Swanage Railway or simply browsing round some of the interesting shops in Corfe itself.
Sue Joslin. 11/05/2018
This holiday home was warm and welcoming on our arrival.
It was well equipped and very clean. The location was good
and the village of Corfe Castle was a nice walk. We spent a happy week there in a home from home and would certainly book this accommodation again.
John and Hazel 16/04/2018
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Rosemount. It is very comfortable, very quiet, has almost everything one could want and ideally situated for exploring. There is a lot to see within an hours journey, load of walks locally, beaches, country houses, wildlife and good pubs and restaurants. Theresa has left a mass of information of things to do so one can never get bored and was very kind and helpful and also provided a nice welcome pack.
Charles Whitehead 16/09/2017
This was my first Visit to Rosemount, and it did not disappoint. The home was spacious, clean and well furnished. if an avid reader there are lenty of books to browse though at owners permission. the kitchen is well equiped, with everything you need. the beds are comfy & location peaceful. The owner lives next door, but never interrupts or calls. she is a lovely lady and I too felt not to invade her privacy. The gardens were full and well maintained. and nice touches of owners trade were on view to see. I was so pleased with this location I would love to come back some more in the future. Thank you for making me and my mothers holiday a pleasure.
Julie Richards 18/08/2017
Rosemount is a lovely light house, with large windows looking out onto views of the hills and the owner's delightful garden. It is well-appointed, clean (very important to us!) and comfortable. There was a great deal of local information to help plan days out and a thoughtful welcome pack with tea, coffee, milk and delicious biscuits. There are lots of books and games in the house also and some interesting art pieces.
We loved the peaceful setting of the house.and made use of our access to the owner's pretty garden.

The village had a nice, bustling atmosphere with walkers, families, dogs and cyclist! We frequented the little independent bakery each day and supported the very good village shop, with its post office counter.

The owner is very pleasant and helpful and took the trouble to come and say goodbye to us on the morning of our departure.

We would recommend Rosemount without hesitation.
Michael & Caroline Ridley 11/08/2017
A real 'home from home' - beautifully appointed with everything you could need. Very clean and comfortable, with lovely artistic touches. The garden is a joy and the owner delightful. Close to all visitor attractions, yet tucked away in a peaceful location.Couldn't be better!!
Pat and Don Kurz 18/07/2017
Excellent accommodation in a lovely area. We all had a wonderful holiday.
Lawrence Wraight 18/07/2017
Our first visit to Rosemount, It is a lovely bungalow with some interesting art work displayed all around. Very spacious with a very nice garden and it is in a lovely quiet location at the edge of the village.
Sheila Lane 11/07/2017
Our fifth visit to Rosemount, a peaceful and comfortable bungalow. A perfect base for the delights of the Isle of Purbeck and convenient for local walks, village pubs and shops and the bus service. Thanks as always to Tessa for her help and kindness and we look forward to a sixth visit!
Chris & Valerie Reed 30/06/2017
This lovely bungalow and garden really suited our needs; it provided a good base for the pursuit of bird watching and other interests.
The garden provided more species sightings than RSPB Arne.
Tessa's garden is a delight and, as guests, we were the beneficiaries of the splendid vista through the lounge window.
A tawny owl was heard during the night of the 17th May. We have had a grand holiday.
Mr and Mrs Terry 25/05/2017
Rosemount is a lovely comfortable cottage with all mod cons available. Its in a lovely area close to all dorset as to offer for a lovely holiday.
Geoffrey Coburn 07/10/2016
Our third visit to Rosemount. A beautiful spacious bungalow and delightful garden. Very comfortable and perfect place to relax.
Our two weeks on the Isle of Purbeck was wonderful, we have had an annual family holiday in this area for 35 years and look forward to many more.
Thanks to Dorset Cottage holidays for their ever friendly staff.
John B 19/08/2016
A charming and comfortable bungalow with a lovely garden tended carefully by Tessa. Convenient for everything including the castle, village shops, walks over the common and the steam railway. That's why this has been our fourth visit!
Chris & Valerie Reed 16/07/2016
We really enjoyed living in your lovely bungalow. We were very impressed by your lovely art work around us, and your lovely garden. thank you for all you do to keep this working so well. Best wishes for the rest of your season.
Buckley 15/07/2016
This has been our second visit to this beautiful bungalow. Peaceful, quiet, lovely part of the Country. Wonderful, enjoyed every minute.
Fenton. 08/07/2016
Our fourth visit to this comfortable bungalow and so nice to be able once again to walk over The Halves and to enjoy the views from Corfe Common, even though the weather was changeable. We have again enjoyed meals at The Castle Inn in East Street and Clavells in Kimmeridge but also found good food at The Black Swan in Swanage. Could not prevent our daughter joining us again! Thanks again to the owner, as always helpful and accommodating.
The Reed Family. 01/07/2016
The cottage was beautiful the owner lives next door a very pleasant lady friendly but did not interfere with our stay.

Had a wonderful week. Lovely house in a perfect place. Corfe Castle proved a wonderful base- V.Pretty.
The Castle Inn and The Greyhound provided wonderful meals.
Enjoyed Weymouth and Lulworth Cove. Portland Castle was interesting with a great tea room with lovely view of Chesil Beach. Enjoyed our first of many visits in Dorset. Thank you very much.
The Wainwright Family 05/10/2015
See I told you we would be back! But once again a week just was not enough time to do all the things we did not do last time! The weather was too good not to visit Studland beach - we will just have to come yet again!
Mr & Mrs Guyon 11/09/2015
Had a lovely 2 week stay here. We love the area, and the bungalow so not even the regular rain could spoil the holiday. It was great having so much space for the kids to run around and to dry stuff.
We went to Studland (Knoll Fish and Chip Fridays were great) We went to the Tank Museum lots to do inside if its raining, Monkey World, Brownsea, Bournemouth Air Show- Red arrows were brilliant. we managed an open top bus which was great but cold. We went to the Sea Life Centre in Weymouth and ate fish and chips on the sea front. Norden to Swanage on the steam train, which we enjoyed watching from the garden, and when it all got to wet we went swimming in Wareham . We had a GREAT time. The owner is so friendly and sooooo helpful.. We will be back!
Rachel, Geoff, Joseph & Elizabeth 28/08/2015
We had a wonderful holiday staying at Rosemount. The bungalow is spacious, light and airy and the garden is delightful. It is ideally situated for Corfe village, only a ten minute walk to the castle and for travelling to nearby Wareham, Swanage and Studland Bay. Now one of our favourite places to stay in Beautiful Isle of Purbeck.
Many thanks to Dorset Cottage Holidays for their friendly and efficienct service
John B 15/08/2015
Second stay at this lovely bungalow, cant wait to come back. Thank you for your friendliness and welcome. Very comfortable & peaceful, a lovely spot. Had good meals at Halfway House and Red Lion Swanage
John, Elaine& Hazel 31/07/2015
Have had an excellent time, thank you. Bungalow is perfectly situated being so near to the Castle, railway and village centre. Also lots of good walking country nearby. Great to have done so little driving since arriving with Studland, Wareham & Lulworth all so near. The bungalow is really ideal for us and garden is beautiful.
Ann, Ian & Adam 05/06/2015
Location ideal for exploring the local area by foot or car. Comfortable welcoming place to stay. Lovely garden. TV a bit on the old side
Anon Oct 2014 11/05/2015
Tessa was very helpful and we enjoyed the the accommodation which was excellent. It was lovely to relax in the garden after a busy day out and we enjoyed our meals at The Castle and Mortons House Hotel. Also the take away fish and chips from the Grey Hound were good. Our son with his wife and three year old daughter joined us for a couple nights, but their stay was extended when our daughter-in-law went into premature labour and a baby daughter was delivered in Poole Maternity Hospital. Mother and baby doing well. Many thanks to Dorset Ambulance Service and St Mary's Maternity Hospital.
VB York, Sep 2014 11/05/2015
We had a wonderful stay in the cottage. We really liked the garden and the spacy, light kitchen. The cottage was in the perfect location for us. We never had a long drive to reach the beaches and the places we wanted to visit.

and the village of Corfe Castle was a nice walk. We spent a happy week there in a home from home and would certainly book this accommodation again.

A charming and comfortable bungalow with a lovely garden tended carefully by Tessa. Convenient for everything including the castle, village shops, walks over the common and the steam railway. That's why this has been our fourth visit!

We had a wonderful stay in the cottage. We really liked the garden and the spacy, light kitchen. The cottage was in the perfect location for us. We never had a long drive to reach the beaches and the places we wanted to visit.
