Rosemount is the home of a retired stained glass artist and the Arts & Craft style of decoration provides an ideal setting for some of her work, both in the house and charming garden with interesting plants.
Located on a quiet lane and within archer's range of the medieval ruins of Corfe Castle. Rosemount is conveniently situated close to the village amenities such as the bakery, general store and hostelries. Although it is in easy walking distance of the centre of Corfe Castle, it is in a quiet road with two parking spaces.
This light, spacious and comfortable bungalow is good for all ages with modern conveniences and plenty of play space for small children in wet weather. The kitchen/diner comfortably seats up to 8 people and allows the cook to join the party! Alternatively enjoy alfresco dining in the pretty garden, lovingly tended by the owner. The spacious dual aspect lounge is perfect for enjoying a relaxing evening after the day's activities. All on one level, Rosemount has two bedrooms, the master with a large en-suite bathroom. There is also a separate shower room off the large entrance hall/second reception.
Facilities:
2 Bedrooms. Dbl with ensuite, twin. Lounge, TV, DVD, Dbl Sofa bed, wood burner fireplace. Reception/hall with writing table, wood burner (ornamental). The owner lives next door and is there if needed but not intrusive. Nice welcome pack on arrival.
Our 5th visit to Rosemount and once again we have had a wonderful holiday, the bungalow, its surroundings, garden and views are idyllic. It goes without saying, the weather was amazing.

Out thanks to Tessa for her kind hospitality.
The cottage was tastefully furnished and Tessa, the owner was lovely and very helpful. The walk to the shops in the morning for fresh croissants was very relaxing. Restaurants in Corfe were also very good.
helpful . everything there that we needed . good location
for touring Dorset.
The owner could not have been more polite and accommodating!
The cottage was a perfect size, very clean, and well organised. Of course the location cannot be beat, as it is close to the centre of the village and many of the local footpaths. This past week flew by and I think we are all sad to be leaving. Hopefully we'll be back soon! Thank you Tessa for being a wonderful host.
We have felt very comfortable and happy here and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday
It was well equipped and very clean. The location was good
and the village of Corfe Castle was a nice walk. We spent a happy week there in a home from home and would certainly book this accommodation again.
We loved the peaceful setting of the house.and made use of our access to the owner's pretty garden.
The village had a nice, bustling atmosphere with walkers, families, dogs and cyclist! We frequented the little independent bakery each day and supported the very good village shop, with its post office counter.
The owner is very pleasant and helpful and took the trouble to come and say goodbye to us on the morning of our departure.
We would recommend Rosemount without hesitation.
The garden provided more species sightings than RSPB Arne.
Tessa's garden is a delight and, as guests, we were the beneficiaries of the splendid vista through the lounge window.
A tawny owl was heard during the night of the 17th May. We have had a grand holiday.
Our two weeks on the Isle of Purbeck was wonderful, we have had an annual family holiday in this area for 35 years and look forward to many more.
Thanks to Dorset Cottage holidays for their ever friendly staff.
The Castle Inn and The Greyhound provided wonderful meals.
Enjoyed Weymouth and Lulworth Cove. Portland Castle was interesting with a great tea room with lovely view of Chesil Beach. Enjoyed our first of many visits in Dorset. Thank you very much.
We went to Studland (Knoll Fish and Chip Fridays were great) We went to the Tank Museum lots to do inside if its raining, Monkey World, Brownsea, Bournemouth Air Show- Red arrows were brilliant. we managed an open top bus which was great but cold. We went to the Sea Life Centre in Weymouth and ate fish and chips on the sea front. Norden to Swanage on the steam train, which we enjoyed watching from the garden, and when it all got to wet we went swimming in Wareham . We had a GREAT time. The owner is so friendly and sooooo helpful.. We will be back!
Many thanks to Dorset Cottage Holidays for their friendly and efficienct service
