It's is in easy walk of the whole town and the many pubs etc. The town is small but grand and a good mix of independents and 2 supermarkets. The Isle of Purbeck is stunning for scenery with its hills and coast.
If we returned to Wareham we would have no hesitation booking Elm Villa again.
A place to visit again.
Very comfortable and warm with lots of little touches to make it feel homely. We were very snug!
We appreciated the bottle of wine which greeted us plus the small supply of dishwasher tablets/toilet rolls/washing up liquid etc.
Ideally situated for walking into the town and exploring the Dorset coast.
The only issue we had was the lack of shaver point so we couldn't charge shavers nor electric tooth brushes but this was easily solved so whilst not a big issue, it would have been nice to know in advance.
As that was our only issue, that is a measure of what a good place 2 Elm Villas is!
Response.: Thank you for your lovely review. There should be a shaving adaptor plug at the property, I will have this checked and indeed replaced if it is not there. I am pleased you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you again in the future.
It was clean, tidy and pretty much perfect for the whole family!
Kitchen had everything required
Nice range of books available
Parking was as described and didn't get any hassles from anyone at the church
PS3 a big bonus for kids
Two sets of keys would be more convenient
Feathers in bedding minor issue for us, but obviously not for everyone
Note re parking on board - useful but cross out the dates about the change of service - its out of date.
Studland beach, Arne, new fossil museum at Kimmeridge, Silver Studden Blues and golden ringed dragonfly amazing at Morton bog. Good food at Shell Restaurant and Steakasaurus down the road. Square and Compass an interesting find plus Purbeck ice cream not to be missed. A bin for outside would be helpful.
Thank you for your review, apologies you did not locate the refuse bins which are located in a wooden store.
Spacious rooms
Great decor
Well equipped
Good parking
Suggestions:
A sieve in the kitchen
A shelf in the bathroom
Front lawn needed a trim
Also the staff at Dorset Cottage Holidays were very helpful many thanks
we spent quite a lot of our time here sitting in the small conservatory, enjoying the bright sunlight along with listening to Radio 2 courtesy of the DAB radio.
The kitchen had everything we needed to cater for ourselves when not eating out and I can vouch for the efficiency of the oven as I always bake my own bread, even when on holiday and my loaves came out first rate!
All in all we had a fine holiday in Elm Villa and can honestly say that it was as nice as our own home. Thanks for everything
thank you - hope to back soon
We went to Monkey World and the Tank Museum.
My boyfriend and I spent a lovely sunny day at Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove.
We really have had a fantastic time and hope to come again soon!
Many thanks
Fantastic location!
Having grown up in Bournemouth its always good to come back.
Have really had a fantastic week
Visited Brownsea Island, Durdle Door and the Kings Arms pub.
The whole booking process was easy and the staff at DHC are excellent too.
