We know there are alternatives on the South Coast but we are only a few hours away, hold the sunshine record, and of course all of our coastline has been awarded World Heritage Site Status being recognised as the Jurassic Coast. You will find that Dorset has escaped heavy development, in-fact we are the only country without a motorway. You can enjoy rolling countryside, ancient hillforts, battle sites, Roman ruins, Saxon walled towns and pretty villages. There’s something for everyone, from families to couples searching for a romantic trip.
