Access Statement for Winspit View.

Our self-catering cottage is a one storey detached property built in 1997 with access to the front and side.  We have tried to provide as much information as possible in this statement, if you have any queries please do call.  We look forward to welcoming you.



We are listed with Dorset Cottage Holidays.

The nearest bus stop is approx half a mile away in the centre of Worth Matravers opposite the Duck Pond.

Wareham is the nearest mainline train station which is 8 miles away


Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

Luggage can be unloaded at the front of the cottage.

There is hardstand parking for three vehicles at the side of the property with a 10cm step up to an 80cm wide path.

The entrance at the front has one 15cm high step just inside the gate, which is 95cm wide.

The entrance at the side patio doors has one step, 20cm high, with access straight into the lounge.  The patio doors open to a width of 109cm.


Front Entrance & Hall

The entrance at the front door has one step, which is 17cm high.  The front door is 79cm wide.

Inside the front entrance is a hall, 140cmwide with the restrictions of a bench and radiator reducing the width to 92cm.

Corridors leading to all rooms are 82cm with internal doorways of 74cm.


Lounge & Dining Area

Dining Area

Table (moveable side to side) – legs on each corner, 62cm floor to lowest point of table (under space).  181cm long, 87cm wide and 76cm high.

Free space between table and walls is 70cm, moveable.

Chairs (all moveable) – 6 chairs with hard seat, which have no arms.

Flooring is wood.


Lounge Area

Furniture is moveable.

Teletext TV and DVD/Blue ray provided with remote control.

There is a rug in the middle of the floor with moveable coffee table.



There is no separate laundry but there is a standard size washing machine, which is front loading, in the kitchen.



Non-feather duvets and pillows provided in each room.

Sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases are poly-cotton.

Light switches and power points at a sensible height to reach from sitting and standing position.

Wood floors throughout hallways and living area. Kitchen floor is tiled.  Bedrooms have short pile carpets.


Bedroom 1


Bed provided – King size

Bed height – 63cm floor to top of mattress.

En-suite door width 74cm. Walk in shower unit has a small step up. 


Bedroom 2

Double bed, height floor to top of mattress 60cm.


Bedroom 3

Room entrance is 81cm width and 68cm in length leading into the bedroom from the hallway.

2 single beds 46cm high positioned against the walls.  Space of 68cm width between them.


Shared Bathroom and WC

L-shaped, toilet in recess of 65cm width.

Space between bath and radiator is 97cm.

Bath height 55cm with swinging glass shower screen.



Kitchen entrance 74cm from Hall.

Work top height 90cm.

Oven door is drop down, height of lowest shelf 40cm.

Hob is 91cm high.

Floor is tiled.

At least 179cm x 163cm free space between worktops.

Good contrast between floor, cupboards and other surfaces.


Grounds and Gardens

Path and patios – paving slabs.

Hardstand – Purbeck stone slabs.

Garden space is laid to grass and is accessed across the farm track.

Entry via wooden gate 95cm wide with an earth slope up from track.
