New property Dec 2018

The owner had made a real effort to provide a friendly welcome and provided tea and milk etc, which was really appreciated. She was also very quick to respond to minor teething problems when we arrived. Two big bathrooms and three loos, which is great. There isn’t a great deal of living space, so it might not be ideal if you weren’t planning to be out all day, but as a base for a bucket and spade holiday, it’s ideal. If you’re arriving by train, the station is literally at the end of the road (but no noise at all). The sea gulls are incredibly noisy and did disturb our sleep because they land on the skylight. I think the owner should put up plastic spikes to discourage them. The street isn’t as smart as the roads down by the harbour - a bit down at heel, though the house itself is smart. Really, it’s the location that makes it a winner. All in all, a great break.

Anchor cottage is in an absolutley wonderful location right by the train station and a stones throw from the beach.
We travelled with a 2 year old and everything we needed was provided cot, high chair, change mat - everything was considered.
Accessing the property was easy and it really did feel like a home from home! It is decorated very well and is spotless!

The seagulls I didn't like so much at 6am - but that a seaside town 🙂

The cottage was well presented, clean and close to the prom, railway station and town centre. The three bedrooms were comfy and modern as were the bathrooms. Steps to the top are a little steep but handrails are in place. The kitchen was modern and plenty of crockery and cutlery.
The sitting area of the kitchen / lounge area had a very comfy settee and TV.
All in all l would recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to explore the Jurassic coast.
