We cannot rate White Sands high enough. It was just perfect. We wanted a week away to relax and unwind and that is just what this house offered. It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The heating wasn't on when we arrived on a cold February day as there seemed to be a problem with the boiler....but within an hour DH Cottages has sorted it and a plumber turned up and had it working in no time. A lovely warm house, very quiet and peaceful apart from storm Ciara. It was wonderful watching the waves frothing up and the wildness of it all. The bedrooms are perfectly appointed with calming colours and the bed was very comfortable. Lots of hot water for shower and bath. Can't say a lot more but if you want a place to stay where the sea is always on view then this is it. We are hoping to return next February.
Keith and Carol Cox 20/02/2020
Great house, very warm for the Christmas holidays. Superb well equipped kitchen and comfortable roomy lounge.
Heather Johnson 02/01/2020

Wow What a beautiful house you have, our first visit but
defiantly wont be our last, a real dog friendly home our Labradors
loved the fully enclosed garden and down to beach. The views are
stunning. We love to fish off The Pier, Sea-bass, Pollack, Mullet,
Wrasse, Pouting, Rock fish haha. The beds are very comfortable and
the cleaners do a very good job. Thankyou for the wine and cake a
nice little touch.

Denise & Peter 04/11/2019

Our first visit to white sands but already looking forward to
returning! Location is wonderful quite happy sitting watching the
weather and sea change from hour to hour Loving the walk to
Studland and beach combing at shell bay. Thanks for sharing this
wonderful house.

Kate & Dave 04/11/2019

We were there for carnival week. The back garden was perfect to watch the firework displays and aircraft displays.Hopefully we we will be back sometime
alan duro 08/08/2019
House keeping was first class. Cottage has everything you can think of. Best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. Perfect location.
Jayne 01/08/2019
Wow - great views and comfortable house - didn’t want the holiday to end. Enjoyed by all the family.
Mary 26/06/2019
Beautiful house with amazing views.
Everything was perfect. Can’t wait to return.
Thank you
Evans 21/04/2019
Really lovely house equipped with everything you could possibly need, great quality cutlery crockery etc glasses plates etc for 8 people minimum everything you need for your dog ! Could not criticise anything about the property even charcoal for the BBQ but it was December so we didn't use it ! I imagine it gets very busy in the summer. Lovely local beach 5 minutes walk away.
Hamish Mathews 03/01/2019
I could not fault dhcottages, your on line chat actually works, the whole booking process was painless, super helpful on the phone and the welcome call when we got to the house was a lovely touch. We have stayed in quite a few houses in the UK, this was one of the better houses however you were the best agency by far.

Couple of points …the house needs serving spoons, small point but badly needed ! The garden is dog proof for medium and larger dogs not a daschund ! The Christmas decorations were fab a lovely touch as they were not expected.

We may try and book again for Christmas, would not go in the summer that path gets busy !
Mr M 03/01/2019
Had a wonderful tiime. House was really nice. Only complaint was there was not enough mugs - had to keep washing up !!!!
Susan Webley 30/11/2018
It was an amazing holiday. The cottage was so beautiful! And the view was breathtaking!
All of us were satisfied and we definately will come back again!
Goad 19/10/2018
Couldn't fault anything.
Mrs L Wilkinson 17/08/2018
We have been staying in Swanage as a family for many years and have never had a better holiday home. The location is just wonderful - the views alone did us the world of good. The accommodation is well designed, homely, modern and really thoughtfully equipped. There was not one thing that the owners had not supplied - down to torch, matches, beach equipment, games for the kids, proper kitchen equipment.....simply everything. Our only complaint is that White Sands is so good there is no availability for us next year!!!
Katie 03/08/2018
Great location. Everything you need provided.
Robert Mcgall 23/07/2018
White Sands was in a perfect location , just above the beach in Swanage with coastal walks, shops and restaurants close by.
The house provides everything you need, even down to dog towels and bowls. We loved the amazing views from the lounge windows and watched all of the passing ferries and boats. We also enjoyed walking into the town along the beach, stopping at the various cafes en route.
It made a nice change to have enough quality, large towels provided and the house was immaculate.

We will hopefully return for another relaxing week,
Claire Fish 22/06/2018
White Sands is a surprisingly spacious property that is spotlessly clean and well-equipped. The garden is properly secured for those who take their pets. There is easy access to the coastal path, though this does mean that you will see people passing by near to the property.

All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return.
Ridgway 07/06/2018
Could not fault White Sands. Everything we had hoped for. Stunning location, beautifully furnished and immaculately clean.
Our only sadness is that their is no availability left for this year. Obviously very much in demand. We can understand why.
Sally Goodall 30/03/2018
Everything at White Sands was excellent. Extremely comfortable extremely well equipped had everything for a lovely holiday
valerie powell 06/03/2018
This was an amazing find. The house has panoramic sea views out the back. There are walks that start on the doorstep and allows you to explore the purbeck coast line with ease. The house was well laid out and had everything. We needed and much much more. We didn't want to leave after a week that made all our troubles fade away.
Lizzie 12/10/2017
Lovely, well-equipped and spacious house with fantastic views and direct access to a dog-friendly beach.
Brenda 12/10/2017
Whitesands is a 5 star property with fabulous views. The house is very comfortable and furnished to a high standard. It is in a quiet position but close enough to Swanage town should you wish to tear yourself away from the view. The beach and coastal path are very close to enjoy. A memorable holiday. Can't wait to return!
The Burgess family 01/09/2017
Fantastic location, what scenery out of the sitting room/lounge window.
Can't want for more, everything has been thought of and
catered for. We didn't want to leave.
A big thank you to the Owners for making this lovely property available for others to enjoy.
We had fantastic weather too.

We hope to be back again soon.
Jean Jackson 01/09/2017
What a lovely house with an absolutely amazing view! We were really impressed with not only the house itself but also with all the extra bits supplied. It was truly home from home and we can't wait to go back.
Rebecca whitworth 12/08/2017
Wonderful location. Excellent facilities. Everything you might need
Robert Mcgall 10/07/2017
This rates as one of my favourite holiday homes I have ever visited. I have been to many holiday homes with my husband, doggy, family and friends over the years and this house provides just about everything I want plus more. When I walked in I said 'WOW'!

It has the view (amazing!), the facilities, properly secure garden for doggies (unlike some cottages that say they are but aren't), very clean and tidy (again some portray to be 5 star but aren't as clean as I would like), beautifully decorated.

Well done White Sands it's nice to finally find a cottage which allows dogs and actually provides exactly what it says. Please, please keep it up because I want to come back soon.

Thank you for making our holiday very special.
Penny Lyon 17/06/2017
White Sands is furnished with good quality furniture and equipment, comfortable beds, everything which I would be happy to see in my own home.

It is clean and fresh and nicely decorated in neutral modern colours.

Located on the Coastal Path, it has great views, it is a 5 minute walk to the beach and about 15 minutes into the centre of Swanage.

Could hardly be any better.
Heather 22/03/2017
Lovely house with stunning views. Studland beautiful and worth a visit as great beach and great little town.
Really enjoyed the house and the little extras like handwashes/fluffy towels for our dog, really appreciated.
The Watt family and Bertie the Basset 17/02/2017
Fantastic home with amazing views in a peaceful area. Luxury bedding and towels (you even get beach towels), lovely sofas and an abundance of pretty cushions and finishing touches.
Not only are dogs allowed in this home they are well catered for with their own dog bowls, towels, secure garden and an outdoor tap to wash them off. You can choose your entrance from either side of the property enabling you to easily sort out muddy/sandy shoes and dogs! Dogs are allowed on the beach from october to april and ours made the most of it during this week as the weather was wonderful. We enjoyed watching the paragliders flying past the window in the sunshine!
Our first ever christmas away from home and the house was decorated beautifully with a very pretty tree and santa had been! Managed to easily cook christmas dinner for 6 and the extra fridge was well used.
Would love to stay here again.
Mandy Evans 12/01/2017
Our first family Christmas away and we couldn't have chosen a more wonderful property and location, plus amazing sunshine. The house was decorated beautifully for Christmas and we easily managed to serve up a roast for six. the dogs had a great time on the beach and I can't believe how dog friendly the area is.
We can recommend a visit to Durlston country park and castle- the restaurant is dog friendly and the food is amazing. Also Corfe Castle model village tea rooms allow dogs inside and the staff are so friendly and again the food was good- they even provided dog biscuits!
There are lots of places to go walking from here too- we walked the dogs to Old Harry Rocks along the coastal path and the views were wonderful, but we were spoilt with great weather. Last night we had the fun on watching a paraglider flying pas the garden- not that the dogs noticed.
Would recommend the property to anyone and so grateful you allow dogs in such a quality home. Would love to return next year. 🙂
The Evans family and Pip and Doris (the dogs). 22/12/2016

the area is of course amazing also.
Thanks again and we all hope to return!

Definitely going to miss the amazing views and lovely walks
Thanks!

We all loved our stay and hope to be back again one day. The house had everything we needed and is in a great location. The weather was brillant, so the view out to sea from the front room was breathtaking.
