This stunning property is set on the cliff top in a secluded part of Swanage, boasting panoramic sea views over the bay toward Peveril Point, the Isle of Wight and Ballard Down. Situated just outside of the town centre and well away from any main road, it is beautifully quiet, ideal for those of you wishing to escape it all.
There is a delightful, sandy beach below the cliff, accessible along a foot path directly from your garden gate, a real treat and sure to be a hit with the young members of your party.
White Sands has been tastefully furnished to an extremely high standard with your comfort in mind. The layout of the property is perfect for those that find stairs a challenge, as all accommodation is on one level. The spacious living area boasts the most spectacular view, along with French doors leading to the delightful sunny garden, where you can enjoy a bbq with one of the best back drops in the South. Why not see if you can spot our beloved "Ron" the sociable seal, who is well known to hitch a lift with kayakers!
There are many events throughout the year in the seaside town of Swanage, Blues Festival, annual Carnival and Fish Festival to name but a few. Review to DCH: As always very good service. I would like to praise the housekeeper who did a superb job of the cleaning
Wow What a beautiful house you have, our first visit but
defiantly wont be our last, a real dog friendly home our Labradors
loved the fully enclosed garden and down to beach. The views are
stunning. We love to fish off The Pier, Sea-bass, Pollack, Mullet,
Wrasse, Pouting, Rock fish haha. The beds are very comfortable and
the cleaners do a very good job. Thankyou for the wine and cake a
nice little touch.
Our first visit to white sands but already looking forward to
returning! Location is wonderful quite happy sitting watching the
weather and sea change from hour to hour Loving the walk to
Studland and beach combing at shell bay. Thanks for sharing this
wonderful house.
We were there for carnival week. The back garden was perfect to watch the firework displays and aircraft displays.Hopefully we we will be back sometime
Everything was perfect. Cant wait to return.
Thank you
Couple of points the house needs serving spoons, small point but badly needed ! The garden is dog proof for medium and larger dogs not a daschund ! The Christmas decorations were fab a lovely touch as they were not expected.
We may try and book again for Christmas, would not go in the summer that path gets busy !
All of us were satisfied and we definately will come back again!
The house provides everything you need, even down to dog towels and bowls. We loved the amazing views from the lounge windows and watched all of the passing ferries and boats. We also enjoyed walking into the town along the beach, stopping at the various cafes en route.
It made a nice change to have enough quality, large towels provided and the house was immaculate.
We will hopefully return for another relaxing week,
All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return.
Our only sadness is that their is no availability left for this year. Obviously very much in demand. We can understand why.
Can't want for more, everything has been thought of and
catered for. We didn't want to leave.
A big thank you to the Owners for making this lovely property available for others to enjoy.
We had fantastic weather too.
We hope to be back again soon.
It has the view (amazing!), the facilities, properly secure garden for doggies (unlike some cottages that say they are but aren't), very clean and tidy (again some portray to be 5 star but aren't as clean as I would like), beautifully decorated.
Well done White Sands it's nice to finally find a cottage which allows dogs and actually provides exactly what it says. Please, please keep it up because I want to come back soon.
Thank you for making our holiday very special.
It is clean and fresh and nicely decorated in neutral modern colours.
Located on the Coastal Path, it has great views, it is a 5 minute walk to the beach and about 15 minutes into the centre of Swanage.
Could hardly be any better.
Really enjoyed the house and the little extras like handwashes/fluffy towels for our dog, really appreciated.
Not only are dogs allowed in this home they are well catered for with their own dog bowls, towels, secure garden and an outdoor tap to wash them off. You can choose your entrance from either side of the property enabling you to easily sort out muddy/sandy shoes and dogs! Dogs are allowed on the beach from october to april and ours made the most of it during this week as the weather was wonderful. We enjoyed watching the paragliders flying past the window in the sunshine!
Our first ever christmas away from home and the house was decorated beautifully with a very pretty tree and santa had been! Managed to easily cook christmas dinner for 6 and the extra fridge was well used.
Would love to stay here again.
We can recommend a visit to Durlston country park and castle- the restaurant is dog friendly and the food is amazing. Also Corfe Castle model village tea rooms allow dogs inside and the staff are so friendly and again the food was good- they even provided dog biscuits!
There are lots of places to go walking from here too- we walked the dogs to Old Harry Rocks along the coastal path and the views were wonderful, but we were spoilt with great weather. Last night we had the fun on watching a paraglider flying pas the garden- not that the dogs noticed.
Would recommend the property to anyone and so grateful you allow dogs in such a quality home. Would love to return next year. 🙂
the area is of course amazing also.
Thanks again and we all hope to return!
Definitely going to miss the amazing views and lovely walks
Thanks!
