Tilshead is a recently built, architecturally designed, family home. This exceptional, bespoke house was created to offer a practical space, yet the owners have spared no expense in creating a luxurious, contemporary residence.
Unusually, this modern dwelling offers exceptionally large bedrooms, marble floors and a stylish open plan lounge and kitchen, which have been thoughtfully designed and tastefully decorated. Bi-folding doors lead to a good sized garden, mostly laid to lawn, overlooked by a large feature patio, ideal for BBQs and al-fresco dining or just gazing across to the sea and Isle of Wight beyond.
Tilshead would suit a large family or group of adults and is ideally positioned in the lovely Purbeck village of Langton Matravers. Within the village (and walking distance) you can enjoy a day out at Putlake Adventure Farm, dine in the local village pub or visit the small local history museum. You can also enjoy a number of fabulous Jurassic Coast country walks including the spectacular Dancing Ledge. Sandy beaches and the town of Swanage are just two miles, and the National Trust owned ruins and village of Corfe Castle is just three miles. An easy drive will take you to a host of attractions, beaches and large towns.

4 Bedrooms: G/F King & twin. F/Floor King (ensuite), Double (ensuite). Main Lounge, TV, DVD, WIFI. Second Reception with TV, DVD and children's games. Large kitchen: range oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, and dishwasher. Dining area for formal dining. Integral Garage with laundry area, w-machine, cross trainer, spinning bike and free weights. Bathrooms: G/Fl family bathroom, F/Fl ensuite bathroom with shower Cubicle, additional F/Fl ensuite bathroom. Secure Garden, good size lawn, large patio with outside furniture and charcoal BBQ. Parking, 3/4 off road spaces. Under floor & Central Heating. Travel cot, high chair and travel stair gate. Linen and towels included in weekly and short break bookings. Two dogs welcome, the first dog is charged at £25 extra, the second is free.
Changes for 2024 - One pet will be welcome, not allowed upstairs or carpeted rooms.

The house is lovely and provided ample accommodation for three generations of our family.
It is a place we would like to revisit.
We had a wonderful holiday and would certainly return to TIlshead in the future.
The living spaces worked very well and we loved the big kitchen/living area and large cooker. A couple of smaller saucepans and a couple of baking trays would have made it perfect for cooking.
One of the best properties and locations we have visited.
If some kindling or firestarters to start the log burner could be left that would be awesome and maybe let people know there will only be a few dishwasher tabs. Fab place though, would definitely stay again. Thank you for a lovely stay. xxxx

We had a lovely time and will definitely visit again.
That really was the only criticism and we had a fabulous week and were blessed with gorgeous weather for early April. If we come this way again as a larger party we will certainly re-book Tilshead, it was a shame we could only stay the one week.
Had a walk from the place along the coast path one day straight out the back garden and across the fields.
Perfectly situated for swanage or corfe and great views from inside and out too.
The house was warm n very comfortable.
The kitchen was very well equipped
The beds were very comfortable and pristine bedding .
The only issue we had was with the upstairs shower, but DHC sent the maintenance team straight away to fix the issue.
This was our first booking with DHC and we will return! everyone was very helpful.
