Denbur is a lovely semi-detached cottage, with lawned garden and conservatory enjoying a superb location in rural Dorset, approximately 3 miles North East of Wimborne Minster. The village takes its name from John O'Gaunt, Duke of Lancaster. From the cottage you can visit Stonehenge and Salisbury, the New Forest National Park or Bournemouth and Poole for coastal activities. Roman Dorchester is the county town in the heart of international author and poets Thomas Hardy's Wessex.

A trip to National Trust owned Kingston Lacy is not to be missed, this elegant country mansion set in beautiful gardens is ideal for picnics in the sunshine. The house is a treasure trove of art and the exotic, courtesy of the Bankes family and their colourful past.

Denbur Cottage was built in the early 1900's. It retains many of its original features including the upstairs bedroom fireplaces. Today it is well equipped and furnished, offering a remarkably enjoyable stay.

The ground floor consists of a porch, entrance hall, conservatory, wet room, kitchen/diner and sitting room with stairs leading up to a double bedroom, a double/twin bedroom and bathroom suite with shower mixer over the bath. The property sleeps up to four, children are welcome, no pets, no smoking inside.

Lovely cottage. Kitchen very well equipped with good appliances. Furniture in lounge and bedrooms a little old fashioned but in keeping with the cottage. However the beds are very comfortable!

The cottage is in a quiet location in a sleepy village. You are greeted with a note from the owners a tea tray with Victoria Sandwich. The kitchen is well equipped although a small saucepan would be handy. The downstairs wet room is an added bonus and useful when the main bathroom is occupied. Comfortable beds. Shame the piano in the living room was out of tune. Ideal location for neighbouring tourist sites but you do need a car.We really enjoyed our stay.
Jay Turner 09/11/2016
It was a beautiful little cottage in a fantastic setting. The house was very neat, clean and tidy. Although we weren't a family and were just away for a weekend of sight seeing it was very homely. All four of us enjoyed it and as a keen gardener I personally really liked the selection of shrubs, bushes and small trees especially the purple rhododendrons. It will forever be a weekend I will never forget. The Dorset area is beautiful made even nicer by the spring/summer bloom and glorious weather we had over the weekend.
Michael Harrison 21/06/2016
Stayed at Denbur for a 3 night break. The cottage is of a very high standard and catered for all our needs as a family of four. It is decorated very well with lovely furnishings and two modern bathrooms and a well equipped ktchen with modern appliances. It has a very homely feel and in very peaceful surroundings but not remote. Excellent base for exploring Dorset and New Forest.

We had a wonderful week in Denbur Cottage. The location is peaceful and secluded but also a great base for exploring a huge range of attractions and locations in Dorset and the New Forest. The cottage is comfortable with everything a family might need while on holiday laid on with care and thought by the owners. Our young children loved the garden - and we all appreciated the cake that was provided for us on arrival! We would not hesitate to recommend Denbur Cottage for a family break.
