Miller Cottage 50.623953, -2.249939 Miller Cottage Sunnyside Terrace West LulworthWest Lulworth England, United Kingdom (Directions)

Step inside this quaint terraced cottage and be instantly welcomed by the cosy and inviting interior. An ideal escape for couples or small families in the quintessentially English fishing village of West Lulworth.

This charming holiday home comes well equipped with all you may need for a family getaway by the sea. Within a short walk, you will find a selection of restaurants, café's, pubs and even take away options. There is also a well-stocked village store for those last minute essential purchases just a few minutes from your door. Miller Cottage is perfectly located for walking holidays in Dorset, with many miles of famous Jurassic coastline waiting to be explored.  The coastal path lies just a few steps from your door, so why not leave the car behind for the duration of your stay? This delightful cottage will welcome two well behaved dogs and benefits a small enclosed garden at the front and rear.

For the younger members of the party, a short walk of around 10 minutes, leads to the cove where you may enjoy a spot of crabbing, pebble painting or a delicious Purbeck Ice Cream! You may even like to catch an exhilarating "Rib Ride" around the coast line or take advantage of a kayak tour of the cove. Don't forget your snorkel, the rocky habitat is home to a wealth of marine life and not to be missed.

If you have lots of energy, the walk over the hill to Durdle Door is an absolute must. Voted one of the top views in the world and incredibly popular for marriage proposals, it is a sight you are sure to never forget.

With so much to see and do outdoors, your comfortable cottage will be a welcome retreat after a day of activities. You can snuggle up by the fireplace in the winter months with a good book, or catch the last of the summer sunshine in the garden with a cold beer and maybe even some fresh fish from the cove on the BBQ.

Miller Cottage is open plan in style on the ground floor. This is ideal for families and easy to keep the children entertained whilst using the kitchen. Upstairs, you will find two quaint bedrooms one double (4ft6) which enjoys countryside views and a twin with 2ft 6 singles. The family bathroom is also on the first floor and benefits a bath and separate shower cubicle.

If you can tear yourself away from all Lulworth has to offer, a short drive will take you to the Saxon walled town of Wareham, where you will find many more eateries, weekly farmers market and a lovely quay. Why not take a walk along the river bank to Red Cliff and even onto Shipstal beach, a secluded haven within the RSPB nature reserve?

If the pebble shores of Lulworth aren't to your taste, sandy havens are only a short distance away, Studland, Sandbanks, Bournemouth, Swanage and Weymouth all have miles of golden sand and safe swimming water, so you will also find plenty to entertain the little ones. Be sure to catch a traditional seaside Punch and Judy show at Swanage or Weymouth!

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was comfortable and well-furnished while retaining the character of an old building. The location was very convenient for car trips during the day and a short walk to the cove in the evenings. Our only minor criticism is that all the markings on the oven controls had worn away, making cooking a bit of a gamble. Otherwise we can't fault it.
John Tyler 25/09/2019

Cosy cottage with a homely feel on arrival. We explored the
beautiful coastline from Weymouth to Swanage and had a great
time kayaking in newly purchased Kayak. Our relatives stayed
at Durdle Door holiday park up the road. Thank you for changing the
hob which was slow to cook, but all good now!

Rob & Tanlin (West Yorkshire) 12/07/2019

Lovely cottage with all amenities. Fantastic walks on our
doorstep (Which Mia the dog approved of!) Beautiful views from
Millers Cottage & Lulworth Cove/ Durdle Door, Fantastic!
Unfortunately for us, we probably experienced the worst weather for
the whole of the year so far ie. torrential rain, hailstones,
gusting winds and quite cold. But thankfully the cottage was very
warm and had Netflix!

Craig & Jackie (Blackpool) 15/06/2019

Comfortable and well equipped. Had a lovely week and would
happily return.

Chris & Sarah (Surrey) 08/06/2019

Marvelous stay in this peacefully situated bolt hole. A chance
to explore some of the most dramatic coastline I've ever seen
anywhere. Most pleased the cottage exists and long may it do so. I
will return and recommend! Thank you.

Tickell (London) 01/06/2019
a charming cottage, very well equipped, ideal location, spotless, my husband and I have stayed in very cottages all over GB, this wasn't the biggest or the most luxurious, but it was one of the best.

Mattress was far to soft, in both rooms.
Thank you for a lovely weekend

We had a really nice time here. Finding cottage was not that straightforward BUT once sorted we were very pleased. Excellent place all round, Great local walks and Swanage, Weymouth and Bournemouth easy to reach. Durdle Door lovely if very crowded just a mile and a bit from cottage.

Cottage very nice, well equipped, nice safe garden for our dog.
Garry Smith. 14/05/2019
Miller Cottage was a fabulous cottage, literally a 10 minute walk to Lulworth Cove! Clean, cosy and well appointed. We would definitely stay here again. And Dorset Cottage Holidays were a great company to deal with.
Menna Edwards 18/04/2019
We stayed at Miller Cottage for 4 nights with our 3 month old baby. The best thing about this property is definitely the location. You can get to the cove itself in a 5 minute walk. 2 very good pubs, plenty of cafes and restaurants close by. The property is well equipped & cosy - we made use of the wood burner. Staff at Dorset Cottage Holidays were very accessible, friendly and responded to queries quickly. Would stay here again!
Trish 14/03/2019
Wonderful cottage-lovely décor and well equipped. Fantastic location for walking- coastal path practically from the doorstep.
Liz 04/02/2019
We celebrated New Year in this cosy, comfortable and well equipped cottage. The location is fantastic and we did some great walks from the door and in the area around. We hope to return one day.
Beth 12/01/2019

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and what a lovely surprise to find
the Christmas tree and decorations, so thoughtful which was really
welcoming. The cottage was well equipped with everything. The only
negative comment, the outside light was not working effectively, it
really is pitch black with no street lights.  Response from
Owner - 'Very sorry the light was not working.  It has now
been repaired.  Thank you for your review.'

Such a cosy home from home base - immediately relaxed here!
Great shower too! Beautiful views and so many lovely walks right on
your doorstep. The only point to mention would be that the hob took
a while to heat up. Thank you- we've loved our stay!

Lovely cosy cottage. Loved being off the beaten track, yet still
so close to everything!

Paul Heather 11/10/2018

a very cosy cottage and a good location for exploring the area.
We ate at the Lulworth Cove Inn and the Castle Inn - both very
good. If you want to walk the ranges or visit Tyneham Village you
need to do this at the weekends! Thank you

We had such a fantastic weekend at Miller Cottage.
The house was just what my daughter and I wanted - pretty, very clean, comfy beds and and nice big bathroom. It was comfortable with nice period features. Lovely view from the master bedroom and five minutes walk to the sea at Lulworth Cove. A shop is two minutes walk away.
Parking was easy on the adjacent road and we could walk into Lulworth easily for shops, pubs and activities.
We’d love to stay again and highly recommend
