Daisy Cottage dates back to 1650 and stands at the centre of a terrace of three traditional Purbeck stone cottages, providing wonderfully comfortable accommodation for three to four guests in two bedrooms. If you are looking for a break in the Purbecks with easy access to the great outdoors, Daisy is the cottage for you! It is peacefully located close to Corfe Common and numerous walking and cycle paths, as well as within walking distance of the village's iconic castle, cafes and pubs. The famous steam railway links Corfe Castle with the vibrant seaside town of Swanage, which is renowned for its picture-postcard bay, sandy beach and seaside amusements. The four miles of unspoilt golden coastline at Studland is within a ten minute drive, and is an ideal spot for an ice cream or family day at the beach.
Daisy Cottage has been furnished and equipped in a traditional style and care has been taken to retain original features. (As a traditional cottage it does have fairly low ceilings and doorways). Along with a pretty walled garden boasting glimpses of Corfe Castle, the cottage has a beautiful open fire as the focal point of the room, which is an ideal place to spend a quiet evening. Daisy Cottage comfortably sleeps three in two bedrooms, with a fourth adult able to be accommodated in the four foot bed in the second bedroom, or an extra child in a travel cot.
Daisy Cottage can be booked in combination with the larger adjoining Russett Cottage, for larger parties of nine or ten. Russett Cottage has a dining table which will accommodate ten people so meals can be enjoyed together in comfort.
Facilities:
Ground floor - Open-plan living room with window seats, sofa, armchair, Smart TV and open fire. Small dining area, country-style kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, half size dishwasher and fridge-freezer. The first floor has a bathroom, king sized double bedroom and second bedroom with window seat and basin. Please note that this room is designated as a single room as it has a 4ft bed which can be accessed from one side. However, visitors who wish to accommodate two in this room may do so. Washer dryer also provided in refurbished outbuilding . Secure walled garden with terrace (uneven) and lawn. Outdoor furniture provided. Travel cot and high chair. Central heating. WIFI. Linen & towels provided. Parking for Daisy Cottage is shared with adjoining Russett Cottage, 2 off road parking spaces. The only access to Daisy Cottage is from the flagstone path infront of the property. One small dog welcome (£25), although restricted to the kitchen or may be crated in the living area (at night).
