Daisy Cottage 50.632995, -2.059464 Daisy Cottage West Street Corfe Castle Corfe Castle England, United Kingdom (Directions)

Previously marketed via Island Cottage Holidays.

Daisy Cottage dates back to 1650 and stands at the centre of a terrace of three traditional Purbeck stone cottages, providing wonderfully comfortable accommodation for three to four guests in two bedrooms. If you are looking for a break in the Purbecks with easy access to the great outdoors, Daisy is the cottage for you! It is peacefully located close to Corfe Common and numerous walking and cycle paths, as well as within walking distance of the village's iconic castle, cafes and pubs. The famous steam railway links Corfe Castle with the vibrant seaside town of Swanage, which is renowned for its picture-postcard bay, sandy beach and seaside amusements. The four miles of unspoilt golden coastline at Studland is within a ten minute drive, and is an ideal spot for an ice cream or family day at the beach.

Daisy Cottage has been furnished and equipped in a traditional style and care has been taken to retain original features. (As a traditional cottage it does have fairly low ceilings and doorways). Along with a pretty walled garden boasting glimpses of Corfe Castle, the cottage has a beautiful open fire as the focal point of the room, which is an ideal place to spend a quiet evening. Daisy Cottage comfortably sleeps three in two bedrooms, with a fourth adult able to be accommodated in the four foot bed in the second bedroom, or an extra child in a travel cot.

Daisy Cottage can be booked in combination with the larger adjoining Russett Cottage, for larger parties of nine or ten. Russett Cottage has a dining table which will accommodate ten people so meals can be enjoyed together in comfort.

New Cottage 2019

Daisy Cottage is perfectly located only 10 minutes walk from the village yet in a peaceful no through road with pedestrian access to the common. The cottage is very pretty with a tranquil walled gardens and outdoor seating with views of the castle. Being a very old property there are low ceilings, narrow stairs, uneven paths and limited headroom in the bedrooms and bathroom but the accessibility statement makes you aware of this before you book. The atmospheric lounge/dining area with open fire is comfortably furnished and very cosy. The kitchen is bright and provided everything we needed for our stay. The master bedroom had a beautifully comfortable bed with crisp white bed linen, again watch your head!! Showering was a bit of a challenge with the sloping ceiling but even with some mobility issues we managed.

Daisy cottage was wonderful and felt home from home. We were very happy and comfortable during our stay. It was perfect for our family and we would love to stay again in the future. The lovely outside space was also much appreciated and enjoyed by the children.

We liked the cottage and had a very happy week there. All facilities good. We particularly liked having a local traditional type building with local stone. DCH very helpful, well organised and kept us well informed at all stages. Possibly the best UK based agency we have ever used.

Ideal cosy cottage, everthing you need for a peaceful holiday. Easy to get to all of Purbecks attractions. Very old building so one or two damp patches. Low ceilings upstairs and some very low doors but you soon get used to ducking! Recommended, will definitely go again.
