All your questions answered

Yes over half of our cottages allow dogs and a 20 take two or more dogs.  We inspect all our dog friendly cottages and will advise you in each property listing as to whether the garden is secure and for what size dog.  We also ask our owners to supply you with a stairgate to help keep dogs off the beds.  In addition we can tell you exactly where the nearest footpath is located and we handpick those cottages that are near extensive walks that are suitable for dogs.  Our cottage welcome folders will details any local walks for you and your pet,

We have visited every cottage on our website and our staff can help you ensure you are booking the right cottage for your family including your dog.  We can tell you exactly how big the garden is, what local facilities are available for your dog and recommend pet friendly places to eat.  Only locally based agencies that know the cottage and area can help you with this.

Our website provides all the information you need to help you make the right decision but nothing beats the human touch.  Call our local holiday planners who will give you the right advice.

Yes, lots of the beaches in Dorset are dog friendly.  However, some restrict dog walking in the summer months.  Some, like Weymouth beach restrict the hours you can access the beach with your pet and some like Swanage close all together from May – Oct.  But most beaches offer some sort of access all year round and we can tell you the nearest beach to your cottage and the dog access opening times.

Extra charges vary fro cottage to cottage.  Lots of our cottages dont make any charges for your dog and many welcome the first dog free of charge.  Any extra charges for your pet are noted in the facilities section of each property listing and at checkout so you are fully informed.

Yes we have a few simple rules to make everyone’s stay more enjoyable.  Firstly we ask that prior to your stay that your dog is treated for fleas.  Secondly we ask that the gardens are cleared of mess and thirdly we ask that dogs are kept off furniture and out of bedrooms.
