As parent’s ourselves we know the importance of family holidays and the difficulty in finding the perfect getaway. Booking a baby friendly holiday cottage offers you peace of mind, knowing that there will be facilities for your little one. All of our holiday cottages accept babies and children (some age limits apply) but the following holiday cottages have met our strict criteria and been awarded Baby Friendly status. Why Visit Dorset

With a Young Family?

Dorset is the perfect choice for your family holiday. Most of our top attractions provide baby changing facilities, private feeding rooms or actively encourage breastfeeding, shorter basins and toilets for little ones and high chairs. There are five blue flag beaches in Dorset and most are sandy; access to our beaches is mostly flat so parking provides easy access for pushchairs.

Lots of attractions in Dorset are free. If you are a National Trust member why not visit the ruins at Corfe Castle or the impressive manor house at Kingston Lacey (recommended for little ones with lovely cafe, fairy woodland walk and free outdoor games provided). Barfoot Ice Cream farm near Sturminster Marshall is free to enter, beautiful gardens for the little ones to play in and lovely homemade ice-cream to enjoy.
