Old Orchard House

Set in a quiet, private cul-de-sac in the charming town of Wareham, Old Orchard House offers a peaceful retreat that feels worlds away from the town, though just a short walk away from the shops, local businesses and restaurants. With its tranquil surroundings and secluded garden, this detached bungalow is thoughtfully designed over three levels, effectively separating the living spaces from the sleeping areas, creating a sense of privacy and spaciousness. With four bedrooms and an additional day room with a sofa bed, Old Orchard House comfortably accommodates families or groups of friends, offering a generous, homely space to relax and unwind.

The main lounge is an inviting space to spend time together, featuring a Smart TV, DVD player and CD player (with a selection of DVDs and CDs), and an electric fire ideal to switch on in the cooler evenings. The lounge opens onto a large terrace and garden via patio doors, allowing for easy access to outdoor dining in the sun. Set on the lower level, the large day room is another wonderful feature of the house, furnished with a double sofa bed, a library, work desk, and a games cupboard. French doors from the day room lead out to the lawn, offering a lovely view and a peaceful spot for reading or enjoying a quiet moment.

The kitchen is a chef's delight, with an AGA, electric oven, and gas hob, as well as a microwave, fridge, freezer, and dishwasher. A small breakfast table in the kitchen provides a relaxed space for informal meals or morning coffee. This is joined to a more formal dining room, with a large table that seats 10, perfect for family gatherings and celebratory meals. French doors bring sunlight and colour into the dining room from the adjoining sun lounge, a shaded conservatory decorated with rattan seating and potted flowers, providing another relaxed spot to enjoy the surroundings.

Old Orchard House also features a utility room with a separate entrance, ideal for storing boots or outdoor gear, and includes a wash basin, an additional fridge, and pantry space with hanging and storage. The bungalow offers three bathrooms: a family bathroom with a bath, power twin-head shower cubicle and WC, a second shower room with a shower cubicle and WC, and an additional cloakroom with a WC near the front entrance.

The garden is an original part-walled design, featuring a large lawn, beautiful flower borders, and a spacious patio with outdoor furniture and a charcoal BBQ (starter pack supplied). There is also a separate bench seating area under a veranda, perfect for a quiet cuppa in the morning or an ideal spot to enjoy the evening with your favourite drink in hand. The property includes off-road parking for up to four cars, ensuring convenience for larger groups or guests with multiple vehicles.
