Free Days out in Dorset.

We love the County of Dorset, true we may be a little bias as we are lucky enough to live here.  But, we think it really is the best spot to choose for your annual holiday, weekend break or half term fun.  The coastline has been awarded World Heritage Site Status and is the world’s most important site for fossils.  The countryside is exceptionally varied, from protected heath land, ancient forest to rolling down land, Dorset has it all.

Dorset is covered by an extensive network of footpaths and bridleways, including the South West Coast path.  It is a walkers paradise, stroll around ancient hilltop forts, relaxing riverside walks, explore coastal marvels or bluebell woodlands in spring.

We believe Dorset’s beaches are the best in the UK.  There are over 40 beaches to choose from with numerous Blue Flag Awards.  Spend the day relaxing on a long sandy beach, such as Studland on the Isle of Purbeck.
