Introduction and General Information

Swans is a fully equipped modern terraced house with fine views of the Radipole Nature Reserve. It is only a 10 minute walk to the beach and a 20 minute walk to the historic old harbour with its’ many restaurants and pubs.

The house is decorated in a modern style, the large 2nd floor bedroom has a dual aspect with views of the nature reserve and an en-suite shower room. This bright and airy holiday home is located on a no through road and therefore has a more relaxed feel when holidaying with the family. Swans is highly recommended for families being close to a play park, with spacious bedrooms, ground floor W/C and two further bathrooms. If you don’t fancy eating out there is a small, private garden, perfect for those sunny BBQ evenings.

 

3 bedrooms:  1st floor: double room & twin room; 2nd floor: double room with ensuite shower room.  Main bathroom on 1st floor with shower over bath.  Ground floor WC.  Lounge: TV, DVD player, XBOX,  seating for 6 people, dining seating for 2 people.  Kitchen: double electric oven, gas hob, fridge / freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing/dryer machine.  Dining area: Table with seating for 4 people.  Central heating.  Enclosed courtyard to rear of house.  Parking: 1 allocated space.    Travel cot (no linen) & high chair.  Linen and WiFi are included.  Sorry no towels provided, hire service available on request.  Sorry no pets.

 

Pre-Arrival

  • Swans is listed on dhcottages.co.uk
  • Swans is a 20 minute walk to the harbour and 10 minutes from the beach.
  • The nearest bus stop is approximately 5 minutes walk away.
  • There is a railway station serving Weymouth, approximately 10 minutes walk.. There are regular trains to Dorchester/Weymouth and stations to Bournemouth/Southampton and onto London Waterloo (2 hours).

Arrival and Car Parking Facilities

  • Luggage can be unloaded at the front of the property just a few meters from the front door.
  • There is allocated parking space to the side just 20 meters from the front door.

 

Entrances

  • The front door is approached via a gentle ramp. The door is standard width 80 cm wide with minimal threshold of just a few millimetres.
  • Once inside the entrance door there is a small lobby area of appox 1m sq with stairs leading to first floor and to the left is the lounge door.

Living Room

  • Door 77cm
  • Furniture comprises 2 three-seater settees, with a mix of feather and synthetic cushions. There is a dining table and two chairs, two occasional tables and TV table.
  • Lighting is provided by centre ceiling light and lamps.
  • Light switch is 110 cm high.

Open Plan Kitchen Dining Room

  • Standard work height units 85cm. Standard Wall units.
  • Double oven set at counter height.
  • There is an integrated fridge/freezer, under counter dishwasher and washing machine
  • Lighting is inset ceiling spotlights.
  • There is a circular table with capacity for 6 in the dining area.
  • Books and games can be found on the large wall unit in the dining area.
  • French doors measuring 1 meter wide lead from the dining area to the garden and they have a 25cm drop to the patio area.

Stairs to first floor Bedrooms – Height 17cm and 13 of them.

Bedrooms

General points:

  • Non-feathered duvets and pillows are provided. Beds are made up with bed linen.
  • The bedrooms and landing are carpeted.
  • The lighting is central ceiling and bedside lamps.

First Floor Double Bedroom

  • Double 4’6” iron bedstead with access to both sides. Bedside cabinets either side.
  • Built in cupboards/wardrobes
  • There is a window overlooking the rear garden.

Twin Bedroom

  • Two single (3 foot) divan beds with access to one side of each bed.
  • There is a window to the front of the property.

 

Stairs to second floor Bedroom – Height 17cm and 13 of them.

Second Floor Double Bedroom

  • Double 4’6” divan bed with access to both sides. Bedside cabinets either side.
  • Built in cupboards/wardrobes
  • Dual aspect windows overlooking the front and rear garden.
  • En-suite shower room.

En-Suite Shower Room

  • The room is fitted with a standard toilet and basin and a shower cubicle measuring 800mm x 800mm, which requires a step of 20cm into.
  • There is a velux window in a sloping roof.
  • The walls are fully tiled.
  • There are no support handrails.

 

First Floor Bathroom

  • Comprise standard toilet, washbasin and bath 165cm x 65cm, with vinyl flooring and shaver point.
  • Opaque window to the rear of the property.
  • There are no support handrails.

Garden

  • The garden, accessed by the dining room French doors has a patio/seating area and gravel and paved area. There is a 25 cm drop from the French doors.
  • There is an iron table and 2 chairs set and plastic table and 2 chairs.
