Brambles is a delightful, spacious family home, located at the end of a quiet cul de sac in the popular village of Langton Matravers. A walker's paradise, set on the hills high above the seaside town of Swanage, with direct access to the coastal path.
Furnished to a high standard with comfort in mind, this property is perfect for families and offers a warm sense of home throughout. The delightful enclosed garden with hidden gated area is ideal for sitting in the evening sun with a glass of wine and bbq.
Brambles is within easy walking distance of the village pub and shop and slightly further afield you will find Putlake Adventure Farm, a great day out for the small members of your party.
Within a short drive or stroll for the "energetic" amongst you, the blue flag sands of Swanage can be found. The town is home to many eateries, bars and shops, here you can relax and soak up the wonderful atmosphere. Why not hop on the steam train to Corfe Castle where you can further explore and perhaps even watch one of the famous Viking reenactments.
After a busy day of walking and sight-seeing return to Brambles where the divine super-king beds will be a welcome retreat, or snuggle up in front of a roaring fire with a good book or film.

Very comfortable beds with good quality bedding.
Appreciated the extras of bath gels, handwash especially, and cleaning products for the house, dishwasher, washing machine.
Garden lovely and very well maintained.
Very quiet location, near beautiful beaches.
Only negative comment was the travel cot which only had the basic mattress. We ended up buying a mattress to fit the cot so our toddler was more comfortable.
It would also be nice to have a visitors book so people could share the good places and eateries they have been to.
Response: Thank you for your lovely review. My apologies that you were missing hand towels. I will speak with the housekeeper as this must have been an over site. We hope to welcome you again very soon.
Would fully recommend.
Coastal walking - Swanage and Studland - National Trust properties, Kingston Lacey and Clouds Hill.
Corfe castle and the Swanage railway.
Eating at Scotts with fabulous view over Corfe castle and Mortons house hotel.
Was nice to find a few supplies on arrival, such as milk, tea, coffee, cookies, soap, loo rolls and cleaning materials etc., so that we didn't feel the need to rush to the shops the moment we arrived.
It was also nice to receive a phone call soon after arrival, checking that everything was satisfactory.
The lovely safe and sunny garden, with outdoor seating, helped us to enjoy a very relaxing break and the excellent weather.
Brambles is located in a quiet village, within walking distance of Swanage, a lovely location for a family holiday and centrally placed for further attractions in and around Weymouth and Poole.
Overall, an excellent experience, which we would be happy to repeat.
It is in a great location that enables you to explore Dorset. We especially enjoyed walking from the cottage into Swanage along the beautiful coast.
1) A washing line or airer (we did a lot of swimming and wanted to dry swimming stuff).
2) A stair gate (top and bottom).
3) More than one tea-towel.
4) A towel in the downstairs loo.
5) Oven gloves.
These things were by no means a problem, but would have been helpful and I think would be useful to future guests.
Thank you for your review Mrs Chambers and being our first guests at Brambles - I can confirm most of the items listed will be rectified by the owner. I am pleased you had a fabulous stay and look forward to welcoming you again soon.
