We have stayed here a few years ago and were so pleased to visit again. The house is very clean & tidy as we remember and is very well located for the local stores (Sainsbury's and Co-op) as well as excellent butchers, bakers, coffee shops, pubs and the lovely Italian Restaurant. We are able to use the local bus service to Corfe & Swanage, but resorted to the car to visit the Etches Museum in Kimmeridge -not to be missed!
Wyn Pugh 18/10/2019
This is our second visit to Saxon Mews, and didn't disappoint us. although it is right in the town it is very quiet and peaceful. It is well laid out and has a nice sunny private garden.
Brenda 14/09/2019
This property is modern but has a cottage charm about it with its tasteful decor and comfy furnishings. It has a well equipped kitchen and all the appliances are good quality. It is in an ideal location - just a short walk from shops and Wareham Quay - but tucked away in a quiet corner of the town.
Valerie Riddle 19/08/2019
Saxon Mews was very comfortable and of good quality, situated in the middle of Wareham town it’s only a few minutes to local shops which include butchers, Bakery, a Sainsbury’s & a co’op. plenty of places to eat in or take away
Also just a few minutes from Wareham Quay where in the evening we strolled down to have a pint by the river
Studland beach just 20 minutes away
We love to return again we were not disappointed
Phil Vezza 09/07/2019
This house is great for a couple or a small family. It is clean, well-equipped and comfortable. Centrally located in Wareham, it is a great base for exploring this part of Dorset. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - would be happy to return.
Nicola 28/05/2019
Saxon Mews is a lovely clean and comfortable holiday home and we would gladly stay there again.
James Gorman 23/05/2019
We had a fabulous time in Wareham and surrounding areas, cycling, walking and sitting on the beach in such glorious weather for the time of year (March!). The house was very clean and comfortable with everything you would need for a good holiday. Thanks we would certainly recommend it and come again.
M Richardson 09/04/2019
This was our second stay at Saxon Mews and we enjoyed it very much. It is a lovely peaceful place to stay, very quiet and yet so central and with everything you could want

Only a couple of tiny practical points to feed back: we found it difficult to operate the central heating control and would have appreciated more detailed info in the Welcome folder about this. Similar with the key safe (when leaving). But overall, it was excellent.
Ruth Cohen 27/03/2019
This is the second year we have stayed at 5 Saxon Mews and once again found it a comfortable, well furnished property and so convenient for the town centre and public transport.
Penny Coyston 02/01/2019
Centre of town in quiet location with parking. Easy walk to bus, river and railway station. Clean warm and well maintained property.
David Crossan 30/11/2018
House was really clean, there is nothing that you required extra, every facility or item was there. Nice welcome pack tea coffee milk and even nice biscuits
Lovely village I’ve stayed in Wareham before but the house was no way near as nice as Saxon mews. Central to a lot of destinations also just nice to wander down to the Quay in the evening for a pint by the river. I will definitely want to book again. Only one small thing is the bed in the main bedroom the outside frame meant that you kept knocking your legs and ended up in bruises (but that was just us ) but overall excellent.
Phil & Kathy 13/07/2018
Best Holiday home we have ever stayed in.

Owners have thought of everything...and more !!

Super location for all amenities and as a tour centre

Hope we have the pleasure of returning
Jed and Mags 29/06/2018
Saxon Mews was an excellent base for our holiday, which we spent exploring the Purbecks and other places along the Jurassic coast. The cottage had everything we needed (and more!): well-stocked kitchen cupboards; comfortable/practical furniture; 3 TV's; WiFi etc. What more could one want! And, the weather was really good for most of the time.
Frank Henry 07/06/2018
House very comfortable WELL FURNISHED and equiped. Central position. Ideal to walk around walls walk, river and visit local pubs.
Sandra 07/06/2018
It was a joy to stay in such a well equipped cottage. Saxon Mews is situated in a quiet location in the centre of Wareham and within walking distance of a lovely riverside pub, shops and restaurants. There were so many places to visit within easy reach that five very busy days just wasn’t enough to do everything. I think another visit is on the cards and we shall certainly book Saxon Mews again. There are plenty of activities for children, Farmer Palmers Farm being a favourite with our 3year old grandson. It was very well run and clean.
Chris S. Tunbridge Wells 18/05/2018
Just about everything was excellent in this new build town house in a very quiet location yet very close to the centre of Wareham. Very convenient off street parking. Only my wife and I were staying. With 4 people it could have been a little more crowded but still very acceptable. Instruction manuals for the Dish washer, washing machine and Microwave would have been useful but we ate out mostly in the evenings. The Samsung TV does not have iPlayer, very strange. Otherwise, we had a really holiday and will probably book another through DCH in the future.
Vin Robinson 18/05/2018
Saxon Mews is set in an ideal location to explore Dorset.
The home has all amenities you can think of. It is well laid out and we had a lovely relaxing time there.
It is nice to be able to park your car off the road in a proper parking space allocated to you.
Wareham is a lovely village with lots of nice places to eat.
The quay inn and salt pig we can reccommend.
A good location. Close to shops but still nice and quiet.
M Allwood 08/05/2018
Saxon Mews was just perfect for us. Th house was warm and cosy, very welcoming considering the sub zero temperatures we experienced for part of our holiday. We were amazed how well the kitchen was equipped and found everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We would not hesitate to return.
Lynda Wills 30/03/2018
This is our 2nd holiday here, warm, comfortable, good quality furnishings, well equipped, we love it. Great location in a lovely part of the conutry.
Gillian House 06/03/2018
Saxon Mews was the perfect holiday home for our family. It was modern, clean and tidy with all the facilities you could need.

It is set back from the road so quiet despite being in the centre of town, and it had a lovely view of the church tower.

We hope to visit again.
Rand Family 05/01/2018
Would be very happy to stay here at any time..
D. Crossan 01/12/2017
Perfect for two of us. Bright and well decorated with well equipped kitchen. Bathroom and shower room both had plentiful hot water and towels.

Dining room table was fine and one armchair was comfortable, the sofa less so.

Weather not good enough to use the garden but it looked nice and secure.
Rosemary Kennett 26/10/2017
We have stayed at Saxon Mews twice now and both times the cottage has been in excellent condition and the cleanliness has been great. The cottage is furnished to a good standard and has all the mod cons you could ask for. The only thing missing is a tumble dryer but as the launderette is no more that 100 yards away it is not really an issue. The cottage is located centrally in Wareham Town with all amenities easily accessible. We will be booking to stay again next year.
Victoria Scherer 16/09/2017
This is located in a nice little town near high street, yet very quite. This is apt for family with kids who is looking for self catering , clean with a garden. The cottage has all the essentials we were looking for.we had an excellent time during our stay.
Vijay 22/04/2017
Saxon Mews is very warm and comfortable, good quality with everything from the bedding to all the kitchen equipment, the showers were great. I imagined it was going to be on an estate but just tucked off the main street, easy to park and great having the cinema close by.
Initially was concerned about too much light coming in the windows with the blinds but it was ok.
Would definitely choose to stay there again.
Thank-you
Gillian House 22/03/2017
We really appreciated a town location with easy access to shops (2 supermarkets, 2 butchers, bakers, deli etc.), restaurants within walking distance and the Purbeck Breezer bus (to Poole, Corfe, Swanage etc.). So we only used a car on 2 days and even walked from the house one day - to Arne (RSPB).

The house was very cosy, warm and extremely comfortable and very comprehensively kitted-out and we cooked in on s few days. A great place to enjoy after excellent Purbeck walks.

Purbeck is a very interesting and rewarding area both scenically and geologically and the cottage certainly helped us get the most of it!
Wyn Pugh 03/03/2017
The cottage was centrally located with easy parking outside the door. It was spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. We stayed in February and were warm and comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking to explore the local area - the Etches Collection, Arne RSPB reserve and Monkey World are all within easy reach of the cottage.
Mrs Trim 24/02/2017
Appreciated the cottage well set up for visitors, warm and comfortable
Personally we would have liked to have had the choice of a thinner tog duvet but I am aware that we are a bit unusual in that.
June Howarth 01/02/2017
We had a very good stay at Saxon Mews: very comfortable, with all the equipment one could wish for, and in such a lovely location - quiet yet in the centre. We appreciated that everything was really easy to use, and didn't require complicated explanations. Only suggestion is that for people who like us arrive after dark, the surroundings are not well lit it's a bit difficult to see the key safe and keyhole. But that is a tiny point.
We do find the service at DH Cottages excellent!
Ruth Cohen 23/12/2016
Had wonderful holiday at Saxon Mews and Wareham. Fabulous accommodation and lovely little town with lots of facilities. Lots to do in surrounding area - great walks, visits to Swanage, Studland, Sandbanks, Poole, Corfe Castle etc.

Great location and the cottage had everything we needed, a real home from home. Great transport links to all the surrounding areas, we hardly used the car. We had a very enjoyable 2 weeks, topped off with brilliant September weather.
J. Launchbury 06/10/2016
Saxon Mews was one of the best holiday homes we have ever stayed in. It was clean, fresh and tidy. A great location with plenty of eating out places in walking distance. As well as good value for money.
