Positioned on the road opposite the Minterne Estate, Kings House enjoys a wonderful sense of privacy while remaining just a short stroll from the estate's celebrated attractions. Recently refurbished throughout, the cottage strikes a balance between contemporary comfort and timeless country charm.

The main lounge is a welcoming space to gather at the end of the day, centred around a traditional open fire that invites cosy evenings in whatever the season. Curl up on the sofa with a favourite film, lose yourself in a good book or simply enjoy the warmth of the flames after returning from a countryside walk.

Although Kings House sits just outside the main estate grounds, guests still enjoy access to some of Minterne's most treasured experiences. Complimentary entry to the magnificent Minterne Gardens allows you to wander through a breathtaking Himalayan-style valley filled with streams, waterfalls and seasonal displays of rare planting. The estate's fascinating history adds another dimension to your stay, with private house tours available by prior arrangement for those eager to learn more about the remarkable figures connected to this hidden corner of Dorset.

Guests also benefit from access to the heated outdoor swimming pool and lawn tennis court, just a two-minute walk from the cottage. Access to outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts from 4pm until 5pm - 2 minute walk from cottage. The pool is open from late April/Early May to October only.
