At the heart of the barn is an expansive function and living area - a sociable, open space where everyone can come together. A large dining table comfortably seats up to 18 guests, creating the perfect setting for celebratory meals or relaxed, family-style dinners. Beyond, a welcoming lounge area with six sofas and a large Smart TV invites you to unwind after a day spent exploring Dorset’s countryside or coastline.

Adjoining the main living space is a fully equipped kitchen, designed to cater for larger groups with ease, alongside a convenient disabled-access WC. Whether you’re preparing a big breakfast before a day out or gathering ingredients for a shared evening meal, the layout makes hosting effortless.

Running alongside the central space, an internal hallway leads to a collection of individual suites, each thoughtfully designed with its own lounge, kitchen, and ensuite bedrooms, sleeping up to 18 guests. This unique layout offers the best of both worlds — shared moments when you want them, and the option to retreat into your own private space when you don’t. Each suite is finished with modern interiors, underfloor heating, and soft, comfortable furnishings that create a calm and restful atmosphere throughout.

Each suite opens onto its own patio area, complete with outdoor dining furniture and access to one of three private hot tubs — perfect for unwinding under open skies, whether after a countryside walk or a day by the coast. The surrounding grounds offer open space, picnic seating, and uninterrupted views across the Dorset landscape, with a sense of quiet that feels far removed from the everyday.

Though peacefully positioned on a 65 acre estate, Allington Barn also benefits from access to a range of shared on-site leisure facilities just a short stroll away. Guests can enjoy a shared indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, private fishing lakes, a children’s play area, games room, and activity suite — adding another layer of relaxation and entertainment to your stay.

Our bedrooms boast comfortable memory foam mattresses with plush pillows and duvets (non feather), fitted wardrobes, dressing tables, bedside tables & full length mirrors.

The function and living space features a dining area with seating for up to 18 guests, a comfortable lounge with six sofas, and a 75-inch Smart TV, ideal for socialising, relaxing, or celebrating together. A fully equipped kitchen adjoins the function space, along with a disabled-access WC for added convenience.

School Holidays
During school holidays, communal swimming is typically available (times may vary):

• Winter and autumn holidays: 10 am until 4 pm
• Spring and summer holidays: 10 am until 5.30 pm

Outside of these hours, private swim sessions may be available for an additional charge (typically £50–£100 per hour depending on the time of day).
